Franklin Ferry Marina Reviews
This is not a pkace you world just see driving by and you have to make a special trip to get here but it is well worth it. The seafood is top notch, priced resonably and the service is great. If you go on a Friday evening expect a small wait but while waiting for you food to arrive the view of the rivet and marina are great. Unfortunately I don't remember the blond young lady that served us but I would recommend her for any job she wanted. The shrimp were as good or better than any at the coast. I had the shrimp and steak plate wich was $23 and the shrimp were terrific and the steak was not far behind. Yes, it a drive to get there but the scenery along the way is good and I can see me returning often.
Nice, sunny day, so we ventured out to lunch. Franklin Ferry Marina has been around a long time. It's restaurant has been hit or miss at times. This time we were pleasantly surprised. First of all, it's very clean. The tables are not all jammed together, so you have space to breathe. You can eat either inside the dining room, or outside on the deck, which is covered. Beautiful view of the river from almost anywhere. I ordered the hamburger, and my friend had the fried green tomato hamburger. You have a choice of fries or onion rings with the sandwiches. Our order came nice and hot! My hamburger was delicious. The lettuce crisp and cold. The tomato as well. If I had one complaint, it was that the hamburger was too big! I took half home! And they offer a DOUBLE burger! I cannot even imagine. I'd make a smaller version for the lighter eaters. The price was only $9.00 for the burger. In the city it would have been twice that! They also have a salad bar, which looked very clean and nice. The staff was wonderful as well. Very polite, and helpful. I can't wait to go there for dinner! Give it a try...I think you'd be happy.
Great home style cooking at an affordable price! Olivia always makes us feel like family when we eat at the marina! We go weekly!!!
Great place to stop along the river. The food and staff is always great. They have outdoor seating and TVs inside and out to watch a ballgame on. They have a 24hr gas & lots of boat slips. The cafe closes for winter, not sure when close or reopened but I called in mid Sept. and they where already closed and their VM doesn't say when they will open back up.
A diamond that is well hidden from most. This place is so clean and has an amazing atmosphere as well. The food is among the best of anywhere within a hours drive or more from here. The steak and shrimp combo is among the best that I have consumed and believe me I have had my share. Also, the salad bar is great as well. Waiters and waitresses are very nice and accommodating as well. I highly suggest anyone giving this place a try.
